Keep Yourself Entertained While Traveling on Trains

When you are traveling on a train, you have fewer options available to keep yourself entertained than you do when you fly on an airplane. However, this does not mean you cannot bring your own forms of entertainment along with you. If you are taking a long-distance train ride, you are going to have more time to entertain yourself.

While you can use your smartphone to surf the Internet, listen to music or watch movies and TV shows, you can also bring along a portable DVD player and a selection of your favorite DVDs. Bring spare batteries or an adapter to keep it going for the duration of the ride. Make sure to include headphones, so the noise does not disturb your fellow passengers.

In addition, there is another type of portable entertainment that uses no electricity, makes no noise and is available everywhere: a book. Bring your own books along and see how many you can read from cover to cover before you arrive at your destination.
